Angeline Francis (Kopecky) Srubar, a beacon of unwavering faith and boundless love, was called home by her Lord and Savior on August 10, 2025. Born in La Grange, Texas, on August 14, 1943, Angeline's journey on earth began, one that would be marked by her devotion to her family, her community, and her faith. After 81 years of a life well-lived, she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Plum, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and strength.
As a proud homemaker and mother, Angeline's life was a testament to the power of selfless love and the beauty of everyday grace. She infused her home with the spirit of Catholic hospitality, creating a haven where all were welcome. Her hands, ever busy in acts of service, were those of a true servant of God, crafting not only a life but a lifeline for all who knew her.
Angeline's family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a tapestry of lives she lovingly nurtured. Her daughters, Loretta Denham and husband Ronnie, Brenda Ward, and Connie Beseda and husband Wayne; her son Charles Srubar and wife Amy; and her cherished grandchildren Kristen Denham and wife Tiffany, Ross Denham and wife Christa, Bryson Beseda and wife Courtney, Weston Beseda and wife Ashley, Brandon Beseda and wife Shelby, Garrett Denham and wife Kimberlee, Courtney Revilla and husband Fabian, Brittni Ward, Sierra Cavazos and husband Cody, Brenna Davis and husband Dillon, Dalton Ward, Briley Ward, Zachery Srubar, Avery Srubar and boyfriend Cameron Staggs, and Aryn Srubar and boyfriend Traeden Supak; great-grandchildren, Alexa Zapata and fiancé Trevor Fohn, Cambree Denham, Raelee Denham, Kaylyn Beseda, Raelynn Beseda, Remington Denham, Ace Denham, Canaan Beseda, Caston Beseda, Tucker Denham, Hunter Denham, Hagen Denham, Tage Beseda, Heston Denham, Wilder Denham, Emersyn Beseda, Bexten Beseda, and Waylon Beseda; great- great- grandson, Grayson Fohn, each a thread woven into the vibrant quilt of her life, will carry forth her legacy of love and faith. Angeline leaves behind not only a family but a community enriched by her presence, including her sisters-in-law Mary Srubar and Mary Ann Srubar, numerous nieces and nephews, and her special friend Maxine Holub, who will all miss her dearly, yet they rejoice in the knowledge that she is now with her Creator.
The love Angeline shared was a living example of the words of Mother Teresa, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." In every game of dominoes, every jar of home-canned pickles, and every slice of freshly baked apple pie and banana cake, Angeline did small things with immense love, touching the lives of those around her in profound ways.
Her interests were simple, yet they painted a picture of a life rich in joy and community. From the laughter-filled nights playing Plum Poker to the quiet afternoons tending to her garden, Angeline's life was a celebration of the blessings bestowed upon her. Whether she was fishing, camping, or simply spending time with her family, her heart was always full, and her spirit was always generous.
Angeline's unwavering faith in Christ was the cornerstone of her existence. She believed in the power of prayer, the strength of forgiveness, and the hope of eternal life. Her Catholic walk was not one of quiet solitude but of active engagement, lifting others up and leading by example. Her light shone brightly, guiding her loved ones with a steadfastness that will continue to illuminate their paths.
She was preceded in her journey to the Kingdom of Heaven by her beloved husband of 54 years, Emil Srubar, her parents John and Julia Kopecky, parents-in-law Charles and Mary Srubar, sisters Dorothy Evanicky and Betta Blaha, brothers Johnny Kopecky and Frankie "Fritz" Kopecky, and son-in-law David "Paul" Ward.
Today, as we reflect upon the life of Angeline, let us honor her memory by embracing the virtues she embodied: love, faith, and service. May we find comfort in the knowledge that her spirit lives on within each act of kindness we perform and every moment of joy we share. Angeline's life was a beautiful reflection of the divine, and her story continues in the hearts of those she loved.
