Angeline M. "Toots" Sacher, age 97, passed away on April 13, 2025 at her home at Maris Grove, surrounded by her loving family. Toots was born in Trainer, PA, and was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. Following the birth of her daughter, Toots took on the role of homemaker, tending to her family and home. Her caring nature did not stop there, she led a life dedicated to caregiving, helping to care for many children over the years. She always seemed to have a baby in her arms. She hosted many a Sunday open house gathering her sisters, brother, step-children and all of their families for fun and food by the pool. And Christmas gatherings were the same. For each of her step-children, spouses and their children, she carefully picked a gift and wrapped it with care. Her love for her family was boundless.
Her three grandsons were the apple of her eye. She took such joy in raising them and loved to tell stories of her time with them over the years.
Toots never met a stranger. She was able to make friends and conversation with anyone she crossed paths with and always left an impression of love and kindness on those lucky enough to meet her. She always had a ready ear and an open heart. Her positive attitude was her hallmark. If she had a pain in her right arm, she would say, 'but my left arm is fine!" As she began to need additional help, she was so appreciative of her caregivers, especially her 'angel' Tina.
Her caring nature spilled over into her hobbies, she loved to tend the flowers in her garden and greenhouse, especially her roses. Toots was also a talented artist, painting, crocheting and making ceramics for many years. She was an incredible seamstress. As a child, her daughter had many a dress stitched by Toots, and later, she made her a beautiful wedding gown. She also liked to do sudoku puzzles and read, a passion she shared with her grandchildren. And in her younger years, she was known to fix a car, fix a roof or fix a leak!
Toots was the daughter of the late Emil and Grace Dantinne, sister of the late Edward, Richard, Harry, and Donald Dantinne, Beatrice McGowan and Pearl McGowan, stepmother of the late Joseph Sacher and Michael Sacher, and wife of 46 years to the late J. Vernon Sacher.
Survivors: Daughter: April Sacher-Stercula (Raymond), Stepchildren: Julia Martinenza, John Sacher, and Tim Sacher. Siblings: Russell Dantinne, Doris Porter, and Florence Kambies. Grandchildren: Stefan, Justin, and Tyler Stercula. Toots is also survived by many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, step great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Give Now
I would rather have one little rose
From the garden of a friend
Then to have the choicest flowers
When my stay on earth must end.
I would rather have one pleasant word
In kindness said to me
Then flattery when my heart is still,
And life has ceased to be.
I would rather have a loving smile
From friends I know are true
Then tears shed round my casket,
When this world I bid adieu.
Blossoms bring to me today,
Whether pink or white or red.
I'd rather have one blossom now
Then a truckload when I'm dead.

Aunt Toots was nothing less that a Grandmother to me, a very loving and caring one. I just loved to be around her, she was always happy. She took care of the young ones like myself, and even my Great grandmother "Gram" as she was bedridden. Like all others, she showed so much love to Gram, when changing her, and feeding her... nothing but words of love coming from Aunt Toots. I wish there were so many other people like her, but they are very very hard to find, and that is why Aunt Toots was a treasure to all of us.
