Angeline J. Silva, age 87, of Flint, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Flushing. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2316 Coldwater Rd, Flint, MI 48505. Fr. David Harvey will celebrate with burial following in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 25 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with a rosary starting at 7:00 PM. On Wednesday morning, Angeline will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions in Angeline's name to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or Saving Tails Rescue.
Angeline was born on December 27, 1937 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of the late Antonio and Delores (Moreno) Perez. She graduated from Dye High School. A dedicated professional, she began her career as a secretary at the Flint Township offices before working as a clerk and customer service operator with the Secretary of State for many years before her well-deserved retirement. Angeline was a proud member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she actively participated in the Fiesta Committee. She found great joy in the outdoors, music, dancing, traveling, collecting rocks, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Jose R. (April) Silva, Marcos (Dawn) Silva, Roberto (Stephanie) Silva, Ramon Silva, Antonio (Pamela) Silva, and Alicia (Jacob) McAuliffe; 32 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Delores Perez; her husband, Jose G. Silva; her daughter, Theresa Armstrong; and her siblings: George Peres, Theresa Perez, Mike Perez, Joe Perez and Johnny Perez. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
