Angelo D'Ambrosio

Angelo D'Ambrosio, a longtime resident of West Harrison, passed away surrounded by his family on August 3, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on December 23, 1941 in Guardia di Lombardi, Italy to Antonio D'Ambrosio and Maria Giuseppina (Sgobbo) D'Ambrosio. On January 23, 1966, he married Carmela DiLeo of Guardia di Lombardi in Torino, Italy. Shortly after they were married, they began their life together of 58 years by moving to West Harrison, NY. Angelo worked for many years with Carmine Labriola Landscaping where he helped to landscape and maintain the beautiful gardens of Pepsico headquarters in Purchase, NY.
Angelo and Carmela built a loving family with 3 children, Anthony, Joe, and Angela.
Angelo's greatest joy in life came from having family dinners on Sunday afternoons with his five grandchildren and watching his favorite soccer team AC Milan. He also took great pride in caring for his garden.
In addition to his beloved wife, Carmela, Angelo was survived by his children: Anthony (Lucy) D'Ambrosio, Joe (Cristine Profeta), and Angela Macom (Brian). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Caitlin, Anthony Thomas, Elizabeth, Alyssa and Brandon; as well as, his siblings, Maria Magnotta and Lucia Garofalo, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who have supported them during this time, and any donations can be made in Angelo's memory to Calvary Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
