Gerry, Audrey, Mick, Wayne & the entire DeAngelis Family,
I just heard of Ang's passing! I am deeply saddened for all of you and grieve with you for the loss. Ang was a spectacular friend to my parents. He exuded warmth and love of life and shared himself and that love with family, friends, and neighbors. Ang also shared his talents as a craftsman and his skills with so many, myself included, over the years. He was generous and the definition of neighborly.
The memories of our families being together are cherished ones: singing and making music, playing together in Schoenersville, shooting hoops, running around the cornfields, foot races, the Labor Day picnic/clambakes, my mom and Gerry galavanting together, dad and the guys having mackerel breakfasts, swimming, birthday parties, listening to records(my first exposure to Burl Ives). Our lives were forever intertwined.
Gerry, for the kindness and care and friendship you & Ang shared with my parents, and especially to my mom after my dad passed, I am profoundly grateful. How good is the God who brought our families together in the tiny village of Schoenersville, the "pretty little village" in German, where my grandparents resided and where a true sense of community was established. ✝
Godspeed, Angelo
