Angelo Sam Enciso Sr., 82, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully Friday, September 5, 2025, in his home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 5, 1943, in Arnold, to the late Sam and Jesse Pagano Enciso. Angelo was a graduate of Valley High School and then joined the Army in 1960. After 22 years of dedicated service, he retired honorably as a Master Sergeant First Class. Angelo was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palms, among many others. He served his community and was a member of the VFW, American Legion, DAV and Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carmen Enciso. Angelo is survived by his wife of 62 years, Waltraud "Lil" Weidner Enciso; daughter, Liliian (Robert) Rubin; son Angelo (Cristal) Enciso Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Costanzo, Caroline (Brian Lal) Rubin, Kayla (Omar) Yuksel and Caitlin Rubin; great grandchildren, Guiliana and Luca Costanzo; additional grandchildren, Zachary and Sydney Woodson; sister, Mary Enciso; and brother, Sam Enciso.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave. New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Angelo to New Kensington Fire Department #3, P.O. Box 571 New Kensington, PA 15068. www.cardarofuneralhome.com
