MANTONE, Angelo L., 93, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, July 16th, with his family by his side.

Angelo proudly served in the United States Navy and went on to work as a Longshoreman in Bayonne for many years before retiring. He also served as a dedicated Detective with the Sheriff's Department.

He was the former husband of Maria Doris Pinto, and a devoted father to Andrea Mantone and her companion Christian, and to Carla Aceti and her husband Michael. He was a proud and deeply caring grandfather to Chelsea and Michael Aceti, and a loyal friend to his caregiver, Jen Steplight. Angelo was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Carmela (nee: Prisco), and his siblings Thomas Mantone, Antoinette Pivovarnik, and Jean Criscitello. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Angelo will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet generosity, and deep love for his family. He had a fun-loving personality, was always quick with a joke, and brought laughter to everyone around him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday from 8:00am to 11:00am at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne. A Prayer Service will be offered at 10:30am, followed by entombment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
