Angelo Frederick Russo, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 95 in Dunedin, Florida, due to natural causes. Born on September 19, 1930, in Dearborn, Michigan, Angelo's life was one of vibrancy, dedication, and heartfelt generosity.
Angelo was a man whose character was as rich and robust as the life he led. He was the cherished husband of Rita Russo and the proud father of Michael, Maureen, Mark, Philip, and Paul Russo. He was also the proud grandfather of Christopher, Rachel, Josh, Aaron, Nathan, Jacob, Philip and Veronica. He is also the great grandfather of Oakley, Liam, Conner, Felix, Everly, Heaven and Leah. His role as a family man was paramount, and he instilled values of love, humor, and kindness in his children.
After bravely serving his country in the Korean War, Angelo returned to pursue an education, earning an Associate's Degree in Business. His professional life was marked by a 35-year tenure as a Regional Sales Manager for Richman Brothers Company, where he was respected for his hard work ethic.
Angelo's Christian faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding his actions and fostering a spirit of community involvement. He carried this spirit into his retirement when he launched a venture that combined his business acumen with his generous nature. Angelo operated his own business, buying and selling a variety of merchandise, a significant portion of which he donated to support local animal shelters. His love for animals was only matched by his passion for sports.
An outstanding athlete in his youth, Angelo excelled in football, baseball, and basketball. He channeled this passion into philanthropy by organizing donations of sports equipment for underprivileged children, thus nurturing the next generation of athletes at a local community development center.
Those who knew Angelo will remember him as the epitome of a friendly and spirited soul. His sense of humor was infectious, and he had a knack for making everyone around him smile. Angelo's legacy is one of laughter, friendship, and an unwavering zest for life.
As we celebrate Angelo's remarkable journey, we reflect on a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. His memory will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him, and his impact will endure through the countless lives he touched.
