ANGELO MICHAEL VIRGILIO

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Angelo Michael Virgilio, born October 20, 1922 in Bitritto, Italy. A proud WWII Navy Veteran, during his service years he was an Aviation Machinist Mate 1st Class Petty Officer. Following his service, Angelo was a career employee of Commonwealth Edison for 35 years. In his later years he fondly recalled and missed his Naval flying experiences. Angelo has now peacefully flown into Our Lord's loving presence. Angelo was the devoted husband of 77 years to Josephine (nee Currire); loving father of Anthony (Debbi), Sandra (Fred) Piszkiewicz, Louise (Jack) McCall, Janice (Patrick) Keating, Susan (Peter) Bushey and Angela (Patrick) Burba; proud and dear grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 16; a special grandfather and great-grandfather of 10; fond brother of Nancy (Gary) and Vincent (Donna); dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Vito, Michael, Marie and Antoinette; and by his parents, Antonio and Lucrezia (nee Giordano). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Catholic Church Extension Society, 150 S. Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S.
