Angie T. Sammon, age 78, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
Angie was born on September 3, 1947 in Peoria, Il, a daughter of William "Bill" and Helen Faye (Martin) Trudgen. She married James A. Sammon on August 10, 1971 at St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving is their son, Michael Sammon of Lake Mary, FL.
Angie was preceded in death by her mother, Faye and father, Bill and step-mother, Marilee Trudgen and step-father Henry Wallace.
Angie was a bookkeeper for 20 years, retiring from Supreme Radio Communication.
She enjoyed sewing, spending time with Jim, traveling, driving to Wisconsin for the foliage and the International Crane Foundation. They also enjoyed taking trips to Colonial Williamsburg.
A visitation will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025, with a dinner celebrating Angie, following the visitation. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Midwest Affiliate.
