Donna Vala Obituary
Donna was born on March 6, 1950, in Peoria, a daughter of James H. and Ruby A. (Musgrave) Thompson. She married Keith Vala on April 26, 1980, he survives. Also surviving are their daughters, Michelle (Bill) McIrvin of Peoria, and Angela ("BA") Nordstrom of Dunlap, two sisters, Sue (Aubie) Crothers of Arizona and Patty (Joe) Reck of Edwards, IL, grandsons, Michael Polich of Pekin and Kayl Nordstrom of Dunlap and granddaughter, Marley Nordstrom of Dunlap, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Thompson.
Donna was a great "Mimi" to her grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with her family. They especially loved her cooking.
Visitation for Donna's many friends and family will be on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Wright & Salmon Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
