Angie Elizabeth Self, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1939, in Memphis, Tennessee, to John and Rebecca Wright. She made her home in this area in 1999 and was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Rockwood, Tennessee.

Angie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a saintly woman with a loving and kind heart, always placing her family at the center of her life. She enjoyed cooking meals that brought everyone together, found peace and joy in fishing, and had a lifelong love for animals, caring for them with the same compassion she showed to people.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Self; her brother Johnny Wright, and her beloved companion, Maggie Mae.

She is survived by her children, Brian (Gina) Self, Paul (Jannie) Self, and Jeff (Kimberly) Self; sisters, Sandy Wright, Carol (Dennis) Wright, and brother Jack (Darlene) Wright grandchildren, Kristen, Austin, Abby, Adam, Sara, Colten, Emilee, Danielle, and Darin; and great-grandchildren, Matthias, Lina, Braelynn, Madison, Noah, Rowan, and Carsen.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Woodall officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
