A graveside service for Mr. Angus A. Balch, Jr., 74, of Ouachita Parish, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Loch Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe, LA, with Rev. William Sikes officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time at Loch Arbor Baptist Church in Monroe.
Mr. Balch was born April 20, 1950, in Monroe, LA, and passed away December 18, 2023. He was a member of Loch Arbor Baptist Church in Monroe.
Mr. Balch was a man of faith, loved his country and served his country proudly. He loved hunting, fishing, anything outdoors and loved his family.
Mr. Balch was preceded in death by his father, Angus A. Balch, Sr.; mother, Cassie Lee Balch; and sisters, Bonnie Tullos and Mary Lee Price.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Deborah H. Balch; daughters, Laurie Sylvestri and spouse Ray, Marcie Balch, and Christie Dixon and spouse Randy; and five grandchildren, Tyler Hunt, Christopher Balch, Micah Moore and husband Scott, Reanna Dixon, and Taylor Sylvestri.
Pallbearers will be CJ Robinson, Cliff Humphries, Bill Hunt, Harold Harrington, Eric Humphries and David Roach.
The family would like to give a special mention to Bolden and Penny Bodin, his brother-in-arms and lifelong friend, who stood by him and his family through life. We love you and will always be our family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
