Funeral services for Sarah T. Masling, 77, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 27, 2025, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, Louisiana. Rev. Garrison Griffith and Rev. James Doughty will officiate. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., at the funeral home. Sarah was born on May 20, 1948, in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away on October 23, 2025, in Monroe, following a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Monroe and a devoted member of First Baptist Church. Sarah retired from Monroe City Schools, where she worked for many years as a secretary and was known for her kindness, dedication, and gentle spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch Tucker Jr. and Nannette Wilson Tucker, and her brother, Jim Tucker. Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Ray Masling; her children, Chris Masling and Marci Parker and husband John; six grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as Mere Mere, Matt Parker and wife Emilie, Tyler Mason and wife Abbe, Katie Gordy and husband Waylon, Jay Parker and wife Mackenzie, Kyle Masling, and Amy Masling; and two great-grandchildren, Rylie Gordy and Brooks Parker. She is also survived by her sister, Connie Williams and husband Robert, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends. Pallbearers will be Matt Parker, Tyler Mason, Kyle Masling, Jay Parker, Waylon Gordy, Grant Griffith, and Greg Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Art Rainwater and Bill Rainwater. Sarah will be remembered for her faith, her warmth, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
