Stephen Ira Masling

Loved, respected and cherished, the son of Bernard Masling and Phyllis Katz Masling, and father of Erin Masling and Evan Masling King, passed peacefully into his next life on June 7th, 2025 with his son Evan by his side.
Stephen was an instrumental father figure in both Erin and Evan lives, always by their side through their pain and struggles, just as they were through his. Whether it was enjoying a day out skiing or at the race track, playing catch in the backyard or spending time playing in the pool, his bond with his children was inseparable and always will be.
Stephen was born on January 20th, 1949. He was predeceased by his father, Bernard; mother, Phyllis; brother, Richard; and daughter, Erin all of Rochester, N.Y. He will be deeply missed by his loving family, their dog Dobby, and his close friends.
He is survived by his son, Evan Masling King; and daughter-in-law, Chloe King of California, cousins Barbara Katz of Ohio, Susan Masling Rubel and Mark Masling of Washington, D.C., and best friends Rick Williams of Montana/New York, Gary Amon of Michigan, Ken Poole of New York, and Anthony Summit of New York.
A Graveside Service will be held on SUNDAY June 15th, 2025 at 10:00 AM at White Haven Memorial Park () for family, close friends and former colleagues. for a map to the cemetery.

A brunch to celebrate the life of Stephen will take place post services for all those in attendance.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to charity founded by 3x Formula One World Champion, Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, will help fund pioneering research into the prevention and cure of dementia.
