Henry Byron Albro (1947-2025)

Henry Byron Albro, known to most as Hank, passed away unexpectedly on November 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, wit, and unwavering generosity. He made the world a better place in quiet, but genuine ways. His acts of kindness touched countless lives in ways both seen and unseen.

Hank was born in Buffalo, NY. (His mother being the 1 st German War Bride of WWII.) He graduated from SUNY Buffalo and received his master's degree from the University of Rochester. After working for years as a social worker, he turned his attention to creative endeavors. He became accomplished in historical restoration and working in miniature. His lathe-turned art often received award-winning recognition at accredited art shows.

Hank is survived by his beloved wife and life partner, Kathy Albro, whose love sustained and inspired him; his daughter and son-in-law, Alyse and Chris Palumbo, who carry forward his values of integrity and compassion; and two cherished granddaughters, Stella and Madison Palumbo, whose lives were immeasurably enriched by their grandfather's boundless joy, contagious laughter, and unconditional love.

Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Hank's life with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Pinnacle Lutheran Church, 250 Pinnacle Road, Rochester, NY 14623. A funeral service honoring his memory will follow at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Hank's memory to the Arts Council for Wyoming County, 31 South Main Street, Perry, NY 14530 (WEBSITE) - a fitting tribute to an accomplished woodturning artist whose exceptional creations brought joy to many.

Hank will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. His spirit will live on in the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he so freely shared.
