The family requests that visitation be observed on Saturday, October 25th from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Angy's most important job was being a loving wife to her husband and devoted mother to her children. She loved her job as a stay at home mom, until her children graduated college, and then she thrived in her career working at the Ouachita Parish Public Library. She enjoyed working with her coworkers whom she considered "family" and was seen as a Library "Mom" to many of the younger staff. She always had a supportive ear and a word of encouragement or advice. She also loved getting to know, and helping, the Library Patrons. She regularly had book recommendations since she was an avid reader.
Angy was very creative and had a keen eye for noticing the beauty and details in everything. Whether it was arts and crafts, painting, pottery/ceramics, photography, and creative writing, she enjoyed it all. Photography was her real passion and she enjoyed capturing life. She almost always had a phone or a camera in her hand ready so as not to miss any moments that should be recorded. When asked about the quality of cameras, she said "The best camera is the one that you have with you". It was important to her to have photo memories – not just for herself – but for all the families and friends she documented their lives and events through the years. Angy will always be remembered for her incredible photographs as well as her long, waist-length hair and her ocean blue eyes.
After a difficult childhood, Angy had a special gift of noticing when someone needed kindness. Angy's heart was for those who had needs that reminded her of her childhood. Sometimes it was a listening ear, giving advice, a small gift or card, a meal, or providing help when someone was in need financially. Service to others was near and dear to her heart. Angy also volunteered at numerous service organizations and was even more involved once she retired. A photography friend said "Angy was a quiet helper" as her acts of kindness were always done without seeking recognition. Her absence will be seen and felt by numerous people throughout the country.
She is survived by her husband John Clower, daughter LaTanya Clower Smith and husband Myrden "Bo" Smith, son Jesse Fox Clower, brother Samuel P Coley, Jr and family, bonus Grandsons Courtney and Matthew, Grand Goddaughter Claudia and family, nephews and their families, and countless friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother Opal Annise Coley, father Arthur Allen Tenhet, Step-Father Samuel P Coley, brothers Arthur Allen Tenhet Jr and Marshall Felix Tenhet, sisters Sherry Denise Tenhet, MaryAnn Bush, and Christine Dozier.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests participating in the "Angy Clower Kindness Project" where you pay it forward with acts of kindness, donations, or service work, as a need is encountered, in remembrance of Angy.
