Anita Lorene Gool (nee Radford), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Cherished daughter of the late Minnie and Charles Radford; devoted mother of Sarah (Jerry King) Gool, Shawn (Harry) Shepherd, the late Jennifer Lee Gool, and stepmother of Doug Gool and Michael (Kim) Gool; loving grandmother of 11; treasured great grandmother of 5; dear sister of the late C.W. Radford, the late Valaria Hawkins, and the late Reta Wilhelm; beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Anita was a woman of simple joys and deep passions, known for her love of bingo—where her incredible luck often led to frequent wins—and for her beautiful gardens, which thrived under her green thumb. She found great happiness in caring for her flowers and took pride in nurturing the things she loved. In her younger years, Anita enjoyed cross-stitching and crochet, expressing her creativity through every stitch. One of her favorite pastimes was going on car picnics, a simple yet meaningful way for her to share meals and moments with those she cherished most. Anita was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Anita's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
