Anita Krimmel, age 98, passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan on Monday, November 10, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1927 in Sheboygan to the late Henry and Margaret (Laikam) Markstahler. On January 5, 1946, she married John Christ Krimmel. They were married for 57 wonderful years. John preceded her in death on September 20, 2003.

Anita and her husband traveled to Florida for 18 years. She sold Avon products for many years, loved gardening, going to the casino, and playing cards with her friends. She also enjoyed being with her family. Anita will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anita is survived by two daughters, Susan (Jack) Ranniker, of Sheboygan, and Cindy (Gary) Kraus, of Elkhart Lake. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Crystal (Justin) Dekker of Sheboygan, Stacey (Eric) Siudzinski of Green Bay, and Troy (Vessela) Ranniker of Signal Hill, California; her great-grandchildren Melody, Drew, and Tyler of Green Bay, and Stefan of Signal Hill, California, as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Anita was preceded in death by one brother Henry Markstahler of Marinette, Wisconsin, and her sister-in-law Elaine Markstahler.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Songbird Pond Assisted Living Facility, as well as the nurses and doctors at Aurora Sheboygan Hospital that took such great care of Anita and her family.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home, W2132 Garton Rd., Sheboygan, from 11:00 a.m until 1:00 p.m.

Per family wishes, services and burial will be private.

“To our mom. In tears we saw you sinking, we watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, you fought so hard to stay. You faced your tasks with courage, your spirit did not bend. But still you kept on fighting, until the end. God saw you were getting tired, when a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, Come to me.” Your loving family
