Gil is survived by his beloved son, Andrew Lorenz; his siblings, Margaret (Fred) Ashmore, Nancy (Dennis) White, Laura (Thomas) Dudgeon, and Bridget Gawthrop; and his cherished grandchildren, Farrah and Ireland Lorenz. He is preceded in death by his parents, John II and Cecelia Krimmel, his brother, the late John Krimmel III, and his sister, the late Karen Krimmel.
Services to honor Gil's life have been entrusted to Kernan Funeral Homes-Heritage Chapel, 15748 Fort Street, Southgate, MI 48195. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the funeral service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Gil will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Gil, please visit our Tree Store.
