Clarissa Ann Patience Banks was born on Friday, September 19, 1997, in Detroit, Michigan. She gained her wings on October 31, 2025.
Beloved daughter of David Banks and Andrea Shrum. Loving sister of Taylor Joy (Matthew) Leedy and David Anthony Banks. Dear granddaughter of Diane Cimeot and Elaine Thompson. Preceded in death by her grandparents George Thompson and Paul Cimeot.
Clarissa was so many things to so many people: a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and a loyal friend to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a hard worker with an incredible work ethic, known for giving her all in everything she did.
From a young age, Clarissa had a deep love for animals. At just eight years old, she got her first lizard, Shasha, and from that moment on, her heart was always open to every creature, great and small.
Clarissa loved movies, especially comedies, and could quote her favorites at the drop of a hat, often leaving everyone around her laughing. She also had a passion for Japanese culture, anime, and martial arts, which spoke to her adventurous and curious spirit.
An outdoor enthusiast, Clarissa loved running, hiking natural trails, and spending peaceful days fishing. There was never a time she went fishing that she didn't catch something. She had a magic touch with nature.
Clarissa was also a skilled welder, proud of the work she created with her own two hands. Her creativity, determination, and strength shined through in every project she took on.
Clarissa's light, laughter, and love will forever be missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched. Though her time here was far too short, her spirit, kindness, and the joy she brought to others will never be forgotten.
