Thomas Walter "Tom" Krimmel

Thomas W. Krimmel, 82, of Colver Bottom, passed away, peacefully, Saturday, August 9, 2025 in his home.
Tom was born in Washington, Missouri on April 28, 1943. He was the fifth of seven children born to Erwin and Mary (Tiemann) Krimmel. In September of 1968, he was united in marriage to Karen Heimann and five children blessed this union.
Tom started his career as a Produce Manager at Mauntils. He then went on to work at Kroger where he was taught to be a meat cutter. Tom worked as a meat cutter in various shops until starting his own business, Krimmel Processing.
Tom grew up in a family that loved and played music. Tom played the trumpet in the school band and sang in the church choir. He was blessed with a loving family that gave him great joy and happiness. Tom loved many things including telling jokes, raising a great variety of animals. His true love was breeding Dachshunds along with longhorn cattle.
Tom is survived by four sons, Matthew and wife Melissa, Brian and wife Lynne, all of Union, Timothy Krimmel of Annapolis, Maryland and Michael Krimmel of Luebbering, Missouri. He is also survived by one brother, Donald "Duck" Krimmel and wife Marilyn of Washington and one sister-in-law, Theresa Krimmel. Tom was blessed with six grandchildren, Courtney Schmidt and husband Shane, Clarissa Krimmel, Hannah Starnes and husband Dakota, Richelle Krimmel, Gavin Krimmel and Morgan Krimmel. Tom was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Weston, Landon and Felicity.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, one son in infancy, and three brothers and two sisters, Norbert and wife Dorothy, Leonard and wife Janet, Vernon, Betty Jean Williams and husband Clyde, Ruth Thompson and husband Perry.
A rosary will be held for Tom on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 beginning at 3:45pm. Visitation will follow from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM all at Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, Missouri.
A funeral mass will be held the following morning, Thursday, August 14, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union, Missouri with interment immediately following in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Masses.
