Anita Gail Moberly (Momma Gail) entered into her heavenly home with her undying faith amongst her family early Wednesday morning, November 26, 2025. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to all that knew her. Her smile, positivity, and faith in Jesus Christ were always present when you saw her. She showed love through her prayers, which always provided, prepared, and protected her family and close loved ones. Born on March 24, 1955, to the late Bobby L. and Evelyn Mae Marcum Abrams, Gail's life was a testament to the power of kindness, community, and unwavering love.
Gail's journey began in Berea, where she grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family, including her late sister and brother-in-law, Lora and Larry Combs. She went on to build a beautiful life there, marked by her devotion to her beloved husband, Greg Moberly, and their cherished children, Joe Richmond, Keith (Melody) Richmond, Nick Moberly, Matt (Keaton) Moberly, and Kate Murphy. She is also survived by her brother, Wayne (Liz) Abrams, her adored grandchildren, Ethan (Savannah) Richmond, Drew Richmond, Willow Richmond, Landen Murphy, Cecil Luke Anglin, Caperton Moberly, and Callihan Moberly, and her great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Emmylou Richmond, and nephew, Tyler Abrams, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Gail's commitment to her community was evident through her career with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Her work was more than a job; it was a calling that allowed her to touch countless lives with her compassion and dedication. Gail's passion for service extended beyond her professional life as she was an active member of Glades Christian Church and GALS. Her role as a former church secretary and her leadership of the Fellowship committee showcased her love for fellowship and service.
A Celebration of Life will be 4 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Glades Christian Church with Pastor Rick Fulton officiating. The family will be accepting friends from 2 pm to 4 pm at the church. Condolences may be left for the family, and services will be live-streamed at www.lakesfuneralhome.com
