Michael Scott Moberly, affectionately known as "Mobe," left this world on October 13, 2025, in his beloved Oklahoma City, where he was born on March 18, 1970. He was a beacon of light to all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. Michael's unwavering passion for God, health, and fitness illuminated the lives of his family, friends, and clients.
An avid sports enthusiast, Michael loved his time cheering for the Oklahoma Sooners football and softball teams. His love for the outdoors found expression through his joyful rides on his Harley. His two loyal canine companions, Murphy and Maverick, were often at his side, bringing joy and comfort to his everyday life.
Michael's professional journey began when he launched Body Rock Gym in Oklahoma City in 2002, a venture that reflected his dedication to health and well-being. Following this, he opened Studio M fitness in 2015, further solidifying his commitment to helping others achieve their fitness goals. As a certified personal trainer and resistance training specialist, he approached each session with motivation and a heartfelt desire to educate and empower those around him.
A proud alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, Michael majored in Accounting and was an active member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. The bond he formed with his fraternity brothers was a cherished part of his life, showing his capacity for deep friendship and loyalty.
Michael is survived by his loving mother, Linda Moberly of Oklahoma City, and his father, Wayne Moberly of Springfield, Missouri. He will also be missed by his Aunts Karen Raper and her husband Ronnie, and Teresa Perieda-Winkler, along with many cousins who will hold on to his memory with love.
Though Michael has been welcomed into the arms of his late grandparents, Faustino "Frank" and Beatrice Perieda, and his uncle, Eldon "Pete" Perieda, his spirit and the impact he made will remain forever imprinted in the hearts of all who knew him. As we reflect on Michael’s life, we remember a man who was not only fit in body but filled with a huge heart and a great soul. His passion for life and kindness towards others will continue to inspire us.
We’ll come together to remember and celebrate Michael's life on Friday, October 24th, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Crossings Community Church Mayfair located at 2340 NW 50th in Oklahoma City.
