Larry Kent Moberly

Larry Kent Moberly, age 86, passed away on February 6, 2026, in Clovis, NM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, 11:00 am, at Fields Cemetery, in Fields, NM, with Brand Inspector Tyson Henry officiating. Ernest Gard, Ryan Garrett, Greg Nash, James Miller, Butch Willoughby, Jason Moberly will serve as pallbearers.

Larry was born on September 6, 1939, in Portales, NM to Willard Bonnie Moberly. He worked for many years as a farmer and rancher. On September 3, 1961, in Clovis, NM, Larry married the love of his life; Peggy "Jeanie" Owen. Larry enjoyed camping, riding horses, tending to the cattle, team roping, dancing, playing snooker, hunting, and fishing. He always had a good story, fun to be around, and many considered him the life of the party. He was also the founding father of Fields Fire Department.

Larry is survived by his wife; Peggy "Jeanie" Moberly of Melrose, NM, his son; Cody Moberly of Melrose, NM, daughter; Patty Moberly of Melrose, NM, Vicki Hartsfields of Clovis, NM, Jo Barnes of Artesia, NM, Jason Moberly, Jaxson Moberly, Jennifer Moberly, Leah Moberly, and one granddaughter; Sunni Moberly-Dixon.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; Willard and Bonnie Moberly, dog; Dumas, and horse; Studley who passed away on October 19, 2025.
