Anita A. (nee Spruth) Neitzel, 91, of Westerleigh died peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
Mrs. Neitzel, a lifelong Staten Islander, was born and raised in Port Richmond. She graduated Port Richmond HS and attended Valparaiso University in Indiana. She met her husband, Richard when he moved here from Wisconsin in 1949 and they were married in 1954.

Known for her sweet, kind nature, she was a woman of great faith and was never afraid to share it with anyone she met.

She is survived by her son Richard E. and his wife Teresa, daughter Susan Sax, and her husband Thomas, grandchildren Katrina (William), Sabrina (Robert), Leif (Yvette), 3 great-grandchildren, Chloe, Paul and Mark, and her brother Rev. My deepest sympathies to Susan ,Tommy and the family. I have known Anita all my life, her father baptized me, she was always a sweet and caring person,Anita always saw the best in people. She gave her time to the church in what ever way she could , and she gave her time to help people in whatever way she could. A sweeter or nicer person would be hard to find. She will be missed by many. May God surround you with his love and grant you the peace of knowing she is at home with Jesus. Love to all, Dorothy Fiore
