July 21, 1935-October 24, 2024
Anita Jo Rester, 89 of Tylertown, MS passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at her daughters residence. She was born Sunday, July 21, 1935 in Columbia, Mississippi to the late Wardell Roosevelt and Lovice Pearl Cox. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Thomas R Rester, Sr.; grandsons, Edward Wayne Rester, Jr. and Dylan Chimento; great grandson Dalton Ray Ferrill; daughter-in-law, Vicki Rester; 5 sisters and 7 brothers.
Visitation will be held at Capps Funeral Home in 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, Mississippi on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 10:30 AM until service time at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Foxworth Cemetery in Foxworth, MS. Pastor Nathan Bryant will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Anita was a member of the Tylertown community for 21 years. She was of Pentecostal faith and truly believed, and trusted in the Lord. She was a very loving and caring mother that did all she could to turn their house into a home.
Survivors include her sons, Edward Wayne Rester, Sr., Thomas Rester, Jr. (Lola) and Robbie Rester, Sr. (Joann); daughters, Linda Ferrill (Jack) and Bobbie Thibodeaux (Clinton); 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildrem with 2 due in December; 4 great great grandchildren with 1 due in December; brother, James Cox; sister, Marie Morgan; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
Pallbearers will be Justin Ferrill, Jack Ferrill Jr., Lance Thibodeaux., Julius Rester, Christopher Bennett, and Steven Floyd.
