Breaux Bridge- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, November 18, 2024 at St. Bernard Catholic Church honoring the life of Willie E. Rester, 93, who passed away on November 15, 2024.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Monday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
A rosary will be prayed by the Men's Rosary Group at 11:00 AM on Monday.
Rev. David M. Rozas will officiate at the funeral mass. Reader will be Devyn Rester. Gift bearers will be Pati Tylock and Anita Rester.
Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
Willie was born on January 9, 1931 in Bogalusa, La. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a hardworker and a dedicated supervisor at Western Electric, Northern Telecom, and later on at AT&T throughout his career. Mr. Rester found joy in dancing with his wife and exploring different places through their travels. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, Kenny Rester, Pati Rester and, Glen “T-Glen” Rester (Anita); grandchildren, Paul Tylock (Lauren), Casey Tylock (Lori), Mariah Murray (Chase), Gunner Rester (Connor) and, Devyn Rester; and seven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Bourque Rester; father, Willie Rester; mother, Ruby Womack.
Pallbearers will be Casey Tylock, Paul Tylock, Glen "T-Glen" Rester, Rod Norris, Johnny Norris, and Geoff Gallet.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
