Anita Kay Settlemyre, 77, of Logansport, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at her residence. Anita was born on February 25, 1947, to the late Paul W. and Olive M. (Miller) Settlemyre.
Anita graduated in 1965 from Logansport High School. From there she went on to work for Switches and later retired from Federal Mogul.
Anita is survived by her son, Scott A. (Trina) Hoch, of Logansport, IN; daughter, Renee (Bob) Smith of Campbellsburg, IN; sister, Carol (Norman) Rhoades of Logansport, IN; brother, Charles Settlemyre of Logansport, IN; three nephews, Bill (Lorie) Rhoades of Logansport, IN, Mark Settlemyre of New Palestine, IN, Dennis (DeeDee) Settlemyre of Logansport, IN; Four nieces, Mary McDoll of CA, Brenda (Lannie) Ryan of Summitville, IN, Holly Tenhundfeld of Cincinnati, OH, Karen Rhoades of TN; six granddaughters, Alyssa (John) Neal, Angie Smith, Paige Hoch, Makenzie Hoch, Amber Smith and Kayla Smith; two grandsons, Austin Hoch and Cameron (Kena) Knight; six great grandchildren; several great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brian Dean Hoch; brother, Gary A. Settlemyre; sister, Shirley M. Settlemyre.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday October 26, 2024, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Monte Adams officiating.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of services.
A private burial will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
