Obituary For Ann Brewer Adams
In Loving Memory of Ann Brewer Adams.
Ann Brewer Adams, born on August 9, 1939, in LaGrange, GA, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, in Orlando, FL. Ann was a remarkable woman who brought joy and love to all who knew her.
A native of Lanett, Ann graduated from Lanett High School, Opelika Vocational School and studied at Auburn University. Upon graduation, she worked a brief time with West Point Pepperell. In 1974, Ms. Adams assumed the role of Personal Lines Manager with
J. Smith Lanier Insurance and in 1982 was named Vice President. She also served as vice-president of West Georgia Association of Independent Insurance Agencies. Ann worked with JT Lanier Associates for many years prior to her retirement. She excelled in business throughout her career and was known for her hard work and dedication.
Ann's hobbies included gardening, traveling, fishing, music, tennis and most importantly, spending quality time with her cherished family.
After retirement, Ann was an active member of her community, volunteering her time to various causes and organizations. Her volunteer activities included working in the community Church Garden, Food Closet and Soup Kitchen. She was a dedicated member and Deacon of West Point Baptist Church, finding comfort and community in her faith. Ms. Adams enjoyed immensely her time at the church playing the piano and participating in the hand bell choir.
Ann was married to the love of her life, William W. Adams, Jr. and together they shared a lifetime of love and memories. She is preceded in death and now reunited in eternal peace with her husband, Bill Adams, her father, John Elmer Brewer, her mother, Ruth Swanson Brewer, and her brother, John Elmer Brewer II.
Ann is survived by her loving sister, Betty Benefield of Peachtree City, GA, her devoted sons, Eddy Chandler (Peggy) of Orlando, FL, Tim Chandler (Amy) of Jacksonville, FL, granddaughter, Tiffany Turner (Chad) of Bell Chasse, LA, her grandsons Joshua Chandler(Elise) of Melbourne, FL Blake Chandler (Amanda) of Lanett, AL and Bryce Chandler of Hermitage, TN, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Chandler and Charlie Turner and Lily Ann Chandler.
A graveside "Celebration of Life" will be held on Wednesday, July 31st at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett, AL with the Reverand Thomas J. Tucker officiating. Let us gather to honor and remember the beautiful life of Ann Brewer Adams, a woman of strength, love, and grace.
May she rest in peace.
