Ann Boone, age 87, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Austell, Georgia. She was. born on December 19, 1937, in Clayton, Georgia, to the late Joe Alexander and Louise Denmark.
Anyone who knew Ann can attest to her vibrant spirit. She had a knack for gardening and yard work, always finding joy in tending to her plants and flowers. She was an incredible cake decorator, creating beautiful cakes for weddings and special occasions that brought smiles to many faces. An avid seamstress and crocheter, Ann poured love into her crafts, leaving behind creations that will be cherished forever.
Known for her quick wit, Ann had a gift for making everyone feel at ease. Her fun personality and positive outlook on life were matched only by her playful 'MeMe-isms,' little sayings and quips that brought laughter and warmth to family gatherings and will be missed profoundly.
Ann was married to Mr. Richard Boone, Sr. for 67 wonderful years. She was the proud mother to her children: Lisa Boone, Melinda (Jerry Blakeney) Boone, Susan (Derek) Calhoun, and Allen (Gretchen) Boone. She was the cherished grandmother to Shana (Matt) Robertson, Casey Clark, Alicia Todisco, Hollie (Ralph) Elks, Lauren (Caleb) Jones, Griffin (Jadrienne) Boone, and Annabelle (Alex) Friedman, and a loving great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren. Ann was also a devoted sister to Libby (Walter)Carter and Pam (Robert) Cardone and a treasured sister-in-law to Jayne Burton.
Along with her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, June Price, and her brother, Buddy Alexander, as well as her grandson, Chris Calhoun and great-granddaughter, Alana Todisco.
Visitation for Ann will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service in Sam Clark Chapel at 2:00 PM. Ann will be laid to rest at Smyrna Global Methodist Church in Dallas, Georgia, with Derek Calhoun, Caleb Jones, Griffin Boone, Ralph Elks, Jerry Blakeney, and Matt Robertson serving as pallbearers.
