Ann Brecher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lyons Funeral Home on Jun. 13, 2025.
Ann Lynne (Roberts) Brecher, aged 80, passed away peacefully in her home and surrounded by her family on Monday, June 9th following a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of the late Melvin Brecher, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.
Born in Princeton, New Jersey on November 3rd, 1944, Ann was the daughter of the late Franklin Leslie Roberts and Virginia Ellen Eddy. Ann was raised in Medford, Massachusetts where she received her education before moving to Hamilton where she dedicated herself to raising her children and creating a loving home.
Ann was a skilled seamstress whose vibrant imagination was displayed through her creations of hand sewn Halloween costumes made for her children and several grandchildren over the years showcasing her creativity and devotion to her family. She was a keen birdwatcher, and her love of wildlife was evident in her enjoyment of observing the woodland creatures she shared her yard with. Ann could often be found with binoculars in hand, tracking the families of deer and raccoons she followed as they grew, marveling at their resilience and bringing her much peace and happiness.
Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her two daughters: Amy McMahon Erb and her husband John Erb of Beverly, Massachusetts and Meredith J. Burnett of Danvers, Massachusetts. She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren: Christopher McMahon of Raymond, NH, Chelsey McMahon of Beverly, MA, Jacob Burnett and Ethan Burnett of Danvers, MA. Ann was predeceased by her sister, Leslie Sydney Doersam, and her son-in-law, Robert Lennox Burnett.
Honoring her wishes, Ann's funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Ann's name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923. For those who wish to share condolences, an online guestbook is available at www.LyonsFuneral.com.
