Ann Irene Davis, of Beverly Hills, died December 7th, 2024 at Story Point Assisted Living in Royal Oak. She was in her 100th year. Mrs. Davis was born August 9th, 1925 in Hartshorne OK to Pauline (nee Prantil) and Louis Giacobbi.
Mrs. Davis retired from General Motors in the 1980s after a 25-year career in the finance department. She honorably served on the Village of Beverly Hills Parks and Recreation Board from 1981 to 1986 and from 1992 to 2019; where during her combined thirty-two years of service, she made immeasurable contributions to Beverly Hills' parks, where Beverly Park was her pride and joy. In 2019, the Village of Beverly Hills Council acknowledged her exemplary dedication, and bestowed upon her the title of "Parks and Recreation Board Emerita." She was an avid gardener and member of several garden societies and a contributor to many organizations including the Ann Scripps-Whitcomb Conservatory on Bell Isle, and the Detroit Symphony Designers Showhouse. She was an active member of St Regis Catholic Church.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Davis (2010), daughter Susan Skinner (2023), brother Richard Giacobbi (2017), and sister Rosemary Cartwright (2014). She is survived by her beloved daughters, Carol (Tom) Farcosky, and Lisa (Keith) Mohn. Her cherished grandchildren, Matt (Annie) Farcosky and J.T. (Ana) Farcosky, Melissa (Tim) Cahill, Kelley (Tom) Mitchell, Kyle (Katie) Mohn, and Travis Mohn. She is also survived by nine great-granddaughters, Meredith (Liz), Erin, and Cara Cahill, Kirsten, Eliza, Devin, and Darien Mitchell, and Georgia, Emma Farcosky. As well as three great-grandsons, Benjamin, Reid, and Grant Farcosky, her caregiver and friends, Lois Paquin, and Beverly Benczik, the Woodside family, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends.
Cremation will take place and services held privately.
Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
