She was preceded in death by her husband, James LeRoy Hemperley; daughter, Marlana Teppenpaw; her sons, James Elkins, Mark Elkins; sister, Shirley Gilmore; and by her brothers, Merle and David Thomas.
She is survived by her companion, Danny Bowling of Atlanta, Texas; daughters, Regina Campbell of Bloomburg, TX, Brandi Wilson of Texarkana, TX; twelve grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Faith Pentecostal Church, Atlanta, TX.
Interment will be in Courtland Cemetery.
