Kermit Duane Adcock, age 87, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 21, 2025, at his residence. Kermit was born March 2, 1938, in Shreveport, LA, to Ozzie and Quida Adcock. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps with 26 years of service having served during the Vietnam War. Kermit was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a master shell reloader, but he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren most of all.
Kermit was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Hookano "Tutu" Adcock; brothers, Robert Adcock, Larry Adcock; and by his parents.
He is survived by two daughters, Tori-Lee Tualatamalelagi of Kahalu'u, Hawaii, Karen Hogan of Atlanta, Texas; three sons, Kevin Kalei Adcock of Leesburg, Georgia, Keenan Adcock of American Fork, Utah, Kauhi Adcock of Longview, Texas; sister, Nina Kay Langford and husband Mickey of Monroe, Ga twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Smyrna Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Gene Parker officiating.
Interment will be in Smyrna Cemetery.
