Stephen Michael Adcock, 49, of Dixon, IL, passed away after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Serenity Hospice & Home, in Oregon, IL, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He worked as a Laborer for both the Local 727 Laborers and also for Martin & Company Excavating, in Oregon.
Stephen was born on March 14, 1975, in Dixon, the son of Stephen Ray and Dorothy (Chesnek) Adcock. He married the love of his life, Lindsay Bufford, on December 24, 2024, in Dixon. To know Stephen was to know someone fiercely loyal, stubborn, dependable, and big-hearted...it also means you knew about his love of collecting rocks. He would do anything for anyone, especially those he loved. Stephen loved to work out in the yard and tend to the flowers, as well as fishing and crawdad hunting with his boys. If you knew Stephen, you were better for it. He will be missed dearly by all who knew & loved him.
Stephen is survived by his mother, Dorothy Adcock; wife, Lindsay Bufford; children, Dalton Adcock, Skylar Adcock, Damian Adcock, Emerson Olalde; brothers, John (Kailee) Chesnek, Tobby (Jennifer) Adcock, Jacob (Cynthia) Adcock; grandson, Michele Hall; and many nieces and nephews.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Ray Adcock, and his son, Caleb Vogel.
Per Stephen's wishes, Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, IL.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
