Ann V. Klosiewicz, age 89, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
She was born in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Reynolds) Neary and was a graduate of Wilmington High School. Ann worked at Delaware Trust and JC Penney. Family was everything to Ann. She cherished family gatherings, holidays, jitterbugging with her beloved husband Jesse, and spending time with her sisters, lifelong friends, and neighbors. In addition, she enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time at the "beach cottage". Her greatest joy was being "Gege" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her children, Cathi Speck (Bill), Mark Klosiewicz (Carol); her grandchildren, Jessica, Michael (Maria), Misha, Janie (Dan) and Chelsea (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Carter and Isaac; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; and her sisters, Peggy Donnelly and Pat Elwood.
Ann's family would like to thank the staff at Newark Manor for their kindness and compassion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, January 27, 2023, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be held in Cathedral Cemetery.
