Ann Marie Loose, age 67, of Pillager, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday September 17 at 2pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Pastor Matt Sundquist officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.
Ann Marie Loose was born on June 9, 1956 to Michael and Katherine (Floren) Gilronan, in Montevideo, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Alexandria. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria with the class of 1974.
In September of 1974, she was united in marriage to David Ahlbrecht. They were blessed with a son, Jerry. They later divorced. She resided in Mountain Lake for 18 years where she worked various jobs and was most proud of being a volunteer EMT for the Mountain Lake Ambulance.
On September 10, 1993 she was united in marriage to Eric Loose. Upon marriage they moved to Le Sueur, MN and later to Wishek, ND, Wadena, MN and most recently to their dream house in rural Pillager. She and her husband enjoyed spending time gardening, canning, hunting, fishing, bird watching, and riding in his tractor. Her favorite hobby was sewing. Every year at Christmas she would make new pajamas for every great-grandchild, while also making and donating pajamas to the women's shelter. She loved to make clothing, bedding, and anything else you can think of for the people that she loved. She will always be remembered for her amazing spirit, big heart, dedication to her family, and her faith.
Ann is survived by her son Jerry Ahlbrecht, her step-children Lisa (James) Buboltz and her children, Joshua (Malia), Elizabeth (Julian), Jessica (Kyle), and Hannah (Alex); Michelle (David) Kozlowski and her children, Krista (Chris), Cody (Brittani), Tyler, and Matthew; Matthew Loose; and Erin (Jeremy) Behnke and her children, Kaleb, Kyle, Kaden, and Kole; and 14 great-grandchildren, with one newest being born on the day of her passing, Brother John Gilronan, Eric's siblings, Gail Maconkey, Beth (Jay) Barr, Lynn Rydberg, Kent (Pam) Loose, Mary (Duane) Tiegs, and Kirk (Jean) Loose, and Linda Loose.
She is preceded in death by her husband Eric, her parents; mother in-law Carol Kluntz; her grandson, Nicholas, and many cousins and other relatives.
