Ann McCann Obituary
Ann L. McCann, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 13, 1933 in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of Mary and George Lieberman. Ann was the devoted wife of Robert M. McCann; they were married for 58 years.
Ann graduated from Allen High School. She attended East Stroudsburg University and later graduated from Moravian University where she was credited with starting the Greyhounds' first cheerleading squad. Ann was a member of Saucon Valley Country Club for 53 years, enjoying tennis, paddle and golf. In her younger years, she was an active member of the Junior League and St. Luke's Auxiliary.
A true sports enthusiast, Ann loved watching football, golf, basketball, and lacrosse. She always looked forward to tailgating Lehigh-Lafayette games with friends and family, and took great joy in supporting her children's and grandchildren's athletic events, always their biggest cheerleader. She had a special passion for basketball and was known among her grandchildren for her iconic hook shot, which she loved to show off.
Ann treasured traveling to and creating cherished memories in her favorite places, such as Cape May, NJ and Longboat Key, FL, with her loved ones. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Her greatest joy in life was the love she had for her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She adored them beyond measure and was incredibly proud of the people they became. Ann was known for her selflessness and her ability to welcome everyone into her life with open arms. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Tyler McCann and wife, Sue, Susan McCann Blair and husband, John, Amy McCann Marker and husband, Tom; grandchildren: Zachary McCann and wife, Kerry, Laura McCann and husband, John, Adam Blair and wife, Erica, Ashley Blair and fiancé, Matt Ernst, Matthew and Katie Marker; great-grandchild: Gal McCann. She was predeceased by her husband Robert M. McCann and brothers, George, Thomas, and Jerry Lieberman.
Services: A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Offer condolences at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
