Ann Walker Rigby born on March 11, 1940, in Sheffield, England, passed away on February 26, 2026. Ann was the daughter of Douglas and Mabel Walker. She and her family emigrated to the United States in 1948, finding community within the LDS Church. She married Kenneth R. Rigby on June 13, 1958, in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Ann and Ken were dedicated to each other for over 66 years. She was preceded in death by her younger brother, David Walker. Ann was the cherished mother of three children: Marie Cochran - CA, Michael Rigby – UT and Kathy Melillo – CO and grandmother to six children and two great-grandchildren.
Devoted to her faith, Ann served in the Relief Society Presidency, Primary Presidency and as a Primary teacher. She also went on two missions with her husband for the LDS Conference Center and the Singapore Mission. You could often find her camping, fishing and traveling with her family. Ann was an enthusiastic gardener known for the beautiful array of roses surrounding her home; she was also an exceptional baker and embroiderer.
Ann enjoyed a long, full life and we were blessed to have her as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. We will continue to hold her faith, love and devotion in our hearts until we meet again.
