SARTOR, Ann M. – of Clio, age 84, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 4:30PM Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Coughlin officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 4:30PM. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Ann was born on June 15, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Ludwig and Agnes (Vanwert) Panneck. On November 30, 1963, she married Jay W. Sartor at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Flint. They enjoyed many wonderful years together before his passing on January 27, 2016. Ann worked as a sales representative for Michigan Bell Telephone for many years before retiring in 1995. Throughout her career, she formed close friendships and looked forward to her monthly gatherings with the girls, always enjoying their companionship and shared stories. Ann was a faithful member of SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio and The Red Hat Society. She enjoyed dining out, watching General Hospital, camping, and spending winters Yuma, Arizona with Jay. Ann was an avid card player, especially - Five Crowns, and she always loved the excitement of the holidays. Above all, she treasured the moments spent with her family, friends, and beloved dogs.
Surviving are: Grandsons: Scott Congdon, Cameron Congdon, and Riley Ross; Granddaughter, Angie Congdon; Best friend of over 50 years, Ruth Gingell; Special friends: Rhonda Mulligan, Mary Lou (Kelvin) Verkennes, and Julissa Straka; Brother in law, Tom (Jeanne) Sartor; Many other loving family members and dear friends. Ann was also preceded in death by: Son, Douglas J. Sartor in 2016; Daughter, Sherry Ann Panek in 2019; Son in law, Randy Panek; Sister, Irene Decker; Brother in law, Norm Hoydic; Sister in law, Nancy Hoydic.
