Ann Sower

Ann M. Sower was born in 1937 and grew up in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. A graduate of Fort Hamilton High school, Ann was raised by her Puerto Rican mother, Isabelle, and her Polish-Jewish father, Abraham Krackow. Ann grew up and lived in Bay Ridge with her family, including brothers Albert, Arnie and Alice, known as the four "A's" and lived there until the age of 22 when she met a young Army private named Gene F. Sower

Ann was a devoted wife to her husband, Gene, who she married in 1958.

Moving to Edison, NJ, in 1970, Ann was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a member of a local bowling league.

After her husband Gene passed away in 2016, Anne soon moved to the Brandywine senior care center in Wall Township where she was a frequent Bingo player and dominoes Queen. Anne is survived by her two siblings Alice and Arnie and her four children, Gene, Virginia, Linda and Denise along with seven grandchildren, including Sam, Brittany, Ashley, Alyssa, Amanda, Emily and Connor, as well as several great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Friday February 20, 2026, from 3-6 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A short prayer service will be performed by Pastor Jason Wheble around 5 pm.
