Robert L Allen

Robert Allen, 88, a lifelong resident of Manasquan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, following a brief illness. A proud member of the Manasquan High School Class of 1956, Bob devoted his life to his family, his work, and his community. He owned and operated Allen's Taxi before beginning a dedicated 40-plus-year career as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service in Manasquan. Even after retiring in 2001, Bob continued serving his community as a delivery driver for Campbell's Pharmacy.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Hilda Smith Allen and his four siblings, Walter, Thelma, Shirley, and Billy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Lois "Mouse," and his three children: Jeff (Andrew), Patti, and Margie (Brian), as well as one cherished grandchild, Ava. He also leaves behind many dear friends, nieces, and nephews who will remember him fondly.
