McGee’s Crossroads, NC: Mrs. Ann King Stephenson, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Providence Presbyterian Church, Angier, NC.  Rev. Roger Korsten will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Stephenson was born on August 12, 1934 in Wake County, NC to the late Gernie Valmond and Sarah Annie Stephenson King.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Stephenson, Jr., sister, Nancy K. Nelms, sons-in-law, Joe Rudd, and Larry Phipps, and a step-son, Wayne Stephenson.  Mrs. Stephenson was a retired bookkeeper and secretary.  For over fifty years, she served as the church pianist, organist, and choir director at Providence Presbyterian Church, Angier, NC.  She loved the Lord, her family, and flowers.  She was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her children, Sherrie N. Byrd, and husband, R.H., Jr., of Bunnlevel, NC; Steve Nordan and wife, Kelly; Susan N. Rudd, and Allison N. Phipps all of Angier, NC; grandchildren, Stephanie Nordan, Jessica Narron and husband, Brandon, Stephen Nordan, Sarah Temple and husband, Jonathan, Tyler Nordan and wife, Natalie, Heather Stafford and husband, Nathan, Meredith Baggett and husband, Trey, and James Michael Byrd and wife, Lakean, fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Tom Nelms of Angier, NC, and Shelby Stephenson and wife, Linda of Benson, NC; step-children, Sam Stephenson and wife, Wendy, Andy Stephenson, and wife, Lynn, and Chris Stephenson and wife, Kristy all of Willow Spring, NC; ten step-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC, and other times at the home.

Flowers are welcomed, or memorials may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church 14664 NC HWY 210, Angier, NC 27501, for the church loan. 

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Angel West and Gayle Jones for their loving care shown to Mrs. Stephenson.
