Anna M. (Keegan) Asprinio, 90, of Warwick, RI, died on Feb 8, 2024. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Asprinio, M.D., of whom she was married for 61 years. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Brigid Agnes (Gaffney) Keegan.
She was a longtime communicant of Saint Rose and Clement Parish where she served as a catechism teacher for many years.
She received her registered nurse degree from St. Joseph School of Nursing and afterwards worked at St. Joseph Hospital and as a district nurse in Cranston and Providence. She was a past president of the St. Joseph School of Nursing Alumni Association and a member of the St Xavier Academy alumni association. She served as a den mother/leader for the Cub Scout and Webelos.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Drs. David and Kimberly Asprinio; her daughter and son in law Dr. Jane and Edward O'Brien; her son Mr. Mark Asprinio; her son and daughter in law Mr. Steven and Jeannine Asprinio; her daughter and son in law Mrs. Karen and John Tobin. And her most prized possessions: her grandchildren: Elizabeth Asprinio, Edward Tobin, Michael Asprinio, Eric Asprinio and Frederick Asprinio. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Eileen Keegan, her brother-in-law Donald Asprinio and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Anthony and Barbara Piccirilli.
She was predeceased by her son John, her brothers Joseph, Bernard, Vincent and Thomas Keegan, brother in laws and sister in laws: Alfred, Rose, Paul, Carmine, Jean and Dorothy Asprinio.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 9am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesset Rd., Warwick. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours, Friday, 4-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Parkinson's Foundation https://www.parkinson.org/ or the VNA Care New England https://www.vnacarenewengland.org will be appreciated.
