Anna Bratz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thomas Funeral Home - Centerville on May 24, 2023.
Anna Maria Bratz, age 55, of Centerville, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
Anna was born on October 20, 1967 in Corydon, Iowa, the daughter of DeWayne Keith Mitchell and Joanna (Sebben) Mitchell. Following graduation from Seymour High School, she continued her education at Indian Hills Community College, earning her LPN. On March 17, 1985, Anna was united in marriage to Todd Bratz, and to this union, three children were born, Brooke, R.T., and Courtney.
Anna worked as an LPN at several hospitals and nursing homes, most recently, Putnam County Care Center. In her free time, she cherished every moment she spent with her friends and most importantly, her family. She was very proud of her family. Anna had an "open door" policy in her home- anyone was always welcome. She enjoyed gossiping with those around her, and soaking up the sun tanning outside.
Left to cherish Anna's memory are her husband, Todd Bratz of Centerville; her children, Brooke Bratz of Centerville, R.T. (Sasha) Bratz of Centerville, and Courtney (Jeremy) Campbell of Centerville; her mother-in-law, Lanna Bratz; five grandchildren, Hayden, Treyton, Landyn, Rylee and Bexleigh; three brothers, Terry Mitchell, Larry Mitchell, and David (Kara) Mitchell; as well as several extended family and friends.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Joanna Mitchell; and her father-in-law, Richard Bratz.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30AM, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Visitation will take place Monday, May 29, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville beginning at 1:00PM, with the family greeting friends from 5:00-7:00PM. Memorials may be written to The Family of Anna Bratz, to be determined at a later date, and mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Bratz Family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
