Anna Giles Obituary

Visit the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home – Genoa website to view the full obituary.
Well, if there was a version of Jim Carrey that was short half-Mexican female, it was Anna C. Giles.
Anna was born on December 18, 1987, the baby sister to 3 older siblings and parents Mike & Maria Giles. We should have known by her first years of hyperactive silliness and ability to nap even behind the couch that she would end up a vivacious varsity athlete, an avid adult tennis player, and yesss you may have even woke up a few mornings wondering how Anna ended up on YOUR couch! She loved to break an awkward moment with something ridiculous to cause an outburst of laughter but if she didn't have her brows, mascara, and foundation on she was no where to be found haha!
Anna had a drive for fairness and transparency in this world, and in turn prioritized providing that same space to those she loved, as both her gift and her krytonite! She often said "When it's my time, I already know I'll go out over something silly or a total fluke."
And here we are a stomach bug then all of a sudden, she didn't wake up the next morning.
The coolest daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, and friend Anna was a vibrant, single 36 year old that left the room on the ultimate mic drop. Proceeding her in death is her nephew Malaki, Dad Mike Giles, grandparents Don Giles, Alfonzo & Andrea Barron. Survived is her mother Maria Giles, grandmother Ginny Giles, siblings Jen (and Troy) Bullock, Dave (and Christine) Giles, Allen (and Ashley) Giles and a slew of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nationwide span of friendships.
As expected, she WILL BE LATE to her own funeral no matter when we schedule it but here are the details. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 S. Main Street, Genoa. Anna's family are planning to celebrate her life with an outdoor shindig, June 1, 2024, in her Elmore backyard.

I remember arriving to work one day to find my office occupied by a girl I´d never seen before... she introduced herself as my new coworker, and after exchanging pleasantries I politely let her know that this was, in fact, my office. She laughed and somehow suddenly it became OUR office. She´d even organized the drawers and everything. She was so funny and charming there was simply no saying "no" to her. She and I and her then-boyfriend ended up hanging out a lot together, and when I got my puppy, Akira, their home became her favorite place to visit and play. Anna was absolutely beautiful inside and out- a wild and free spirit, silly and charming and adventurous... I will always treasure my memories of her. I had been hoping for some time now that she´d find a way to visit me in California again, but it looks like one day I´ll have to visit her instead. Until then, rest easy Anna. You are very loved.

I don´t know the e family, just happened upon this obituary and had to send condolences. One of the best written accounts of a young life. I feel like I knew her briefly. Having lost my 28 year old sister this year, I understand the loss coming much too soon. May the world be kind to you and your family.
