Anna Gray

Anna Jane (McMindes) Gray, formerly of Clever, MO, passed away on Monday morning, April 28, 2025, in San Antonio, TX. Anna was born in Yellville, AR on October 17, 1938, to John Scott McMindes and Arbie Z. (Dodd) McMindes. Anna was a graduate of Yellville High School and moved to Springfield, MO to attend Drury College. While attending Drury and working in a local Italian restaurant, she met Gerald (Jerry) Gray. They were married for 60 years and together raised four children, managed a growing farm, and a successful real estate development business. She was a devoted wife and mother, enjoying many summers at the lake camping with family and friends as well as numerous RV vacations with Jerry in their golden years. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, her stepfather, Pierce Dobbs, her loving husband, Lester Gerald (Jerry) Gray, her brother Rue Stokes and wife Lucile, her brother Jerry McMindes and daughter Lisa Robertson. She is survived by her first cousin Glenn Blankenship of Mountain Grove, MO, nephew, Tommy Stokes of Harrison, AR, son, Brad Gray and wife Writa of Mt. Vernon, MO, daughter, Trudy Blanton of Fair Play, MO, son, Retired U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Shawn S. Gray of San Antonio, TX, two grandchildren, Crystal Latiker and Heath Blanton, three great grandchildren, Troy Blanton, Tristan and Kailan Latiker, and one great-great child, Venia Mollier. There will be a Visitation from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately thereafter.
