Anna Mae Hoffman, age 97, of Hancock, MD, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Berkeley Springs, WV.
Born Sunday, August 7, 1927, in Elkton, VA, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Linnie Davis Harris and the wife of Harry Hoffman who passed away on Sunday, April 18, 1965.
Anna Mae retired from Rayloc Manufacturing in 1989. She was a member of Hancock United Methodist Church for seventy-five years and taught Sunday School for twenty-nine years.
She enjoyed gardening and took care of the flowerbeds along Main Street in Hancock.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, she is predeceased by five brothers, six sisters, and one great-grandson.
Anna Mae was survived by one son, Mike Hoffman and wife Charlotte of Hancock, MD; two grandchildren, Angie Smith of Wyomissing, PA, Melissa and Rick Boswell of Kearneysville, WV; two great-grandchildren, Tylar Smith and Rickie Boswell IV; one brother, Roger Dale Harris and wife Barbara of Elkton, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 14, 2025, at 1:00pm with visitation one hour prior at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, 3738 Resley Rd, Hancock, MD. Pastor Shane Wilt will officiate.
