Anna Hurt Obituary

Anna Mae (Antush) Hurt was born on March 20, 1940 and passed away January 13, 2026 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 85.

Anna was born to John and Margaret Antush and raised in Tacoma, Washington where she graduated from Aquinas Academy. She then went on to receive a degree in education from Seattle University and worked as an elementary school teacher for the Clover Park School District.

It was at one of the Clover Park faculty mixers in 1964 that she met the love of her life, Bob Hurt. They were married August 7, 1965 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (Tacoma) and just recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Anna was very much loved by all who knew her, but especially by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a master of storytelling and had a gift for engaging anyone and everyone in conversation. She loved to bake cookies and pies, especially apple pies. She loved to cross stitch and made beautiful keepsakes for many. Most importantly, she loved and cherished all her family and friends. She was a very kind woman with a good heart.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Hurt, sisters Mary M. Antush and Corinne Christiansen (Jim), sons David Hurt (Monika) and Brock Hurt (Allison), and daughter Marianne Ball (Ron) as well as 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John & Margaret Antush, and her brothers John and Jerry Antush.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
